For CONUS PCS moves, the military may authorize reimbursement for one POV (Personally Owned Vehicle) shipment. This depends on your orders and circumstances. Contact your Transportation Management Office (TMO) or Personal Property Office (PPO) before booking to confirm eligibility. We provide all required documentation: invoice, Bill of Lading, and payment receipt.
What is the difference between TMO and PPO moves?
TMO (Transportation Management Office) handles transportation arrangements including vehicle shipping authorization. PPO (Personal Property Office) manages household goods. For vehicle shipping, you will typically work with TMO to get authorization and then arrange private transport through a company like SWA. Your TMO can advise on reimbursement limits and required paperwork.
How early should I book for a PCS move?
We recommend booking 2-3 weeks before your desired pickup date, especially during peak PCS season (May-August). If you have received your orders and know your report date, booking early locks in the best carrier availability and pricing. We can also accommodate last-minute moves with expedited service.
Do you ship to/from OCONUS locations?
We handle the CONUS portion of OCONUS moves. For service members PCSing overseas, we transport your vehicle to the designated Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) or military port. For OCONUS-to-CONUS returns, we pick up from the VPC and deliver to your new duty station or home.
What documents do I need for military car shipping?
You will need: (1) PCS orders showing your new duty station, (2) valid military ID, (3) vehicle registration, and (4) proof of insurance. For reimbursement, save all shipping receipts and the Bill of Lading. We provide itemized invoices that TMO offices typically accept for reimbursement processing.
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes. All active duty, reserve, National Guard, veterans, and military family members receive special military pricing. The discount is applied automatically when you identify as military during booking. Multi-vehicle discounts are also available for families shipping more than one POV.
